I have made these cookies. Personally, I was not a big fan, but my husband and kids LOVED them and so now I am making my second batch. Thanks!

You're welcome Sharon! Thanks for the feedback.

These cookies were so good!! I put in the optional cinnamon and nutmeg, I used 1 cup mashed super ripe bananas (from the freezer). I used olive oil for the oil and let them sit 30mim. It made 24 cookies. My family loved them.

These cookies (if you could call them that) were awful. They were spongy and tasted like dirt. The only good thing was they smelled nice while they were in the oven.

These cookies are wonderful.

These cookies are wonderful. Yes they are spongy, but that's to be expected when bananas are used, and personally I like them that way! They have a lovely, healthy sweet taste to them, and are perfect for my supper. I added some oatbran and substituted prunes for raisins when I made them the second time, and I really liked them that way. Thanks for the recipe! =)

I absolutely love these! I

I absolutely love these! I made them last night and couldn't stop eating them. Mind you, I kind of cheated and added some chocolate chips.. but only a few! Definitely recommend the optional cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest! Thanks Patty! Great job.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
I love hearing the variations, they sound great - and adding chocolate is never cheating. ;)

Oat flour

I just made these and the kids love them! I ground up 1/2 of the oats into flour and added in cinnamon, nutmeg & a bit of ground cloves along with the raisins. Also used a scant 1/4c of virgin coconut oil. The first tray didn't brown on top, so I turned on the convection oven and baked for 12 minutes. Much nicer.
Great recipe! Something I actually don't feel guilty about giving to my kids in vast quantities.

Sara These are absolutely

These are absolutely delicious. Thank you! I am amazed at how chewy and sweet they are. They don't 'hold together' that well, but as long as they are well-cooled after baking, they seem to be more than eat-able. I appreciate the toddler-friendly recipe, as well. No sugar and no flour means a guilt-free wholesome snack for all ages.

I think grinding 1/2c of the oats into a flour, like GP did, would help them stay together better. Happy you and the little ones are enjoying them!

i added freshly chopped black cherries and a chunk of dark chocolate in the center of each cookie..... wooohooo! delicious...

That sounds awesome!

Healthy Banana Cookies!

I just stumbled upon your site last night and absolutely fell in love! I made the Healthy Banana Cookies this evening and they were FABULOUS! I reduced the amount of walnuts, increased the dates, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and opted for the coconut oil (yum!)

Thank you so much for providing healthy AND delicious recipes! Next on my list: Black Bean Brownies!!

Banana Cookies

These are delightful! I followed one of the other commentaries and ground up half of the oats into oat 'flour'. With raisins, coconut, a little bit of chocolate and some spices, these are my new quick and healthy go to. Thank you for helping me in my whole foods journey!
